We believe that students should be provided with a physical education experience which gives them a wide variety of experiences and activities. The program will engage the students in interactions with a democratically diverse student population. Over the course of four years, a student must take three semesters of physical education in order to graduate. Physical education is a multi-age course. The courses being offered are: one semester of Personal Fitness, one semester of Team Building/Cooperative Games, and one semester of Lifetime Activities. A student may opt to take a dance class as one of the physical education semester courses. The department requires that students who are absent from class make up any absences. Any student who cannot take Physical Education because of a physical problem must obtain a doctor's (A Licensed Medical Doctor/Doctor of Osteopathy) release and submit it to the school nurse. The student will then be assigned to a regular class with accommodations.
